City Wide Food Drive OVERVIEW

Between the rising cost of living and inadequate income support, more folks are struggling to make ends meet … as inflation slows, the cost of food continues to increase.  This is why the City Wide Food Drive was created.

With growing grocery bills, we’re seeing more demand, as a result, usage of our Emergency Nutrition program has increased by 35% this year, and almost half of those city wide clients are children.

Often, all it takes to an unexpected bill or time off work that put people in a position where they have to make tough decisions. Imagine having to decide between calling in sick from work or being able to afford groceries for the next few days. Our Emergency Food Hampers provide 2-3 days worth of food, which mean you won’t have to make that choice. #citywidefooddrive

How Can I Get Involved with the city wide food drive

Throughout the month of May, we’re raising food and funds through the City Wide Food Drive to support the community. Join us this month in our call, “Don’t Let Your Neighbour Fall Through The Cracks” and get involved by donating today.

You can donate three ways to City Wide Food Drive:

  1. Purchase a few extra items or a pre-made food donation bag to place in collection bins in grocery stores across the city,

  2. Host a City Wide food Drive at your organization or business,

  3. Donate funds online by filling out the donation form below.
