CHARITABLE TAX DONATION UPDATE
The federal government will be extending the deadline for claiming charitable donations on tax returns through to the end of February. This extension is in response of the four-week Canada Post strike.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) was created in 2008 to acknowledge the profound harm done to Indigenous Peoples through the Indian residential school system. In 2015, the TRC published a summary of its final report, Honouring the Truth, Reconciling for the Future. This report includes 94 Calls to Action inspired by stories of more than 6,000 Survivors.
As of 2023, Canada has completed only 13 of the 94 Calls to Action.

EMERGENCY NUTRITION
We provide 2 to 3 days’ of emergency food for anyone in Saskatoon and area (a 50 km radius). We also have infant formula, jars of baby food, and infant cereals for all children under one year of age. Our Milk For Children program provides one litre of fresh milk for each child ages 17 and under as well as pregnant and nursing women.
PROGRAMS
In addition to our Emergency Nutrition Program, we have a variety of seasonal and year-round programs that provide community members with the opportunity to access other types of support. Our Clothing Depot provides an affordable shopping experience. The Garden Patch is an urban farm that provides fresh food for the community and plenty of opportunities to learn about gardening and agriculture. Community members can access help with Tax Filing. In our Learning and Nutrition Programs, we operate various learning, self-help, and life skills programs that are supportive of learning needs and aspirations within a family-oriented, empowering, and self-directed environment.
