OUR training programs are divided into 3 areas (pathways)

The Learning Pathway | The Workplace Experience Pathway | Employment Transitions Pathway

Each pathway offers participants the chance to learn, explore career options, obtain training certificates,
meet people with similar interests, and work towards accomplishing their personal goals.

THE WORK EXPERIENCE PATHWAY

The Workplace Experience and Training Program is a 4-month initiative that provides work experience to people who have difficulties finding or keeping employment. The program is designed to enhance your job skills, provide support and coaching, and decrease any barriers you may be facing.

As a participant, you will undergo a variety of certifications and skills training workshops, tailored to your goals and free of charge. You will also be placed into one of the various Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre departments.

NOTE: Our Current Workplace Experience and Training Program cohort is already underway and there are no remaining placements available. Any applications submitted will be considered for the January 2025 session.

THE EMPLOYMENT TRANSITIONS PATHWAY

The Employment Transitions Program strives to provide full support to Creating Opportunities Strategy (COS) participants. Whether you're graduating from a recent cohort of the Workplace Experience and Training program, or just need help throughout the job search process after attending a Free Public Workshop, Employment Transitions is here.

This program provides you with 1 full year of support navigating the job search process. Supports include resume and cover letter writing, job search strategies, employer referrals, mock interviews, and much more. Employment Transitions ensures you receive the help you need to achieve your goals.
