Les and Irene Dubé Family Foundation

The Les and Irene Dubé Family Foundation is a long-standing supporter of Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre, reflecting a deep commitment to a food secure Saskatoon. For nearly twenty years they have provided an annual donation of fresh fruit at Christmas. A semi full of apples and oranges arrives each year at SFBLC to add to nutritious food hampers over the holiday season.

The Les and Irene Dubé Family Foundation have provided an incredible $1.5 million to the Nutrien Plant Possibility campaign. In recognition and appreciation for this transformative campaign gift, the distribution centre at the expanded location will be named for Les and Irene Dubé. This area will be the hub of the future facility and will enhance the flow of food from pickup/delivery to storage and distribution allowing staff and volunteers to work efficiently to provide safe and nutritious food to those who need it.

"Through our donation to the Nutrien Plant Possibility campaign, we hope to create a lasting impact and contribute to a food secure Saskatoon. We believe in the power of sharing and helping those in need, and it is an honour to support the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre in their mission to provide nutritious food to our community. Together, we can make a difference," said Les Dubé at the time of their donation.

Les and Irene grew up in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, knowing the importance of sharing and helping where possible. It is this ethos that stayed with them as they built a successful business, The Concorde Group of Companies. Les Dubé passed away in March 2024 in Saskatoon. The Les and Irene Dubé Family Foundation will continue to share generously with the community.

Les and Irene were named as Members of the Order of Canada, received the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, and were recipients of the International Award for Outstanding Philanthropists.

Thank you so much, Les and Irene Dubé Family Foundation, for this transformative gift towards our new home that will better address hunger in our community.
