HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE FRESH FRUIT FOR KIDS CAMPAIGN?

WHAT IS THE FRESH FRUIT FOR KIDS CAMPAIGN?

Now that before, during, and after school programs are done for the summer, many kids in our community are missing out on regular access to fresh, healthy food. That’s why we’re calling on YOU during Fresh Fruit for Kids Month this July!

We're looking for donations of fresh fruit and/or funds to help fill the gap and ensure Saskatoon's kids stay nourished all summer long. The Fresh Fruit For Kids campaign is an initiative created by Canpotex and the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre in response to the rising cost of food and the rising cost of living.

By donating to the Fresh Fruit For Kids campaign, wether its cash or food, you have the opportunity to play a crucial role in alleviating child hunger and supporting the well-being of Saskatoon's youngest residents.

OBJECTIVES & FOCUS

Combating Hunger: By providing fresh fruit to children, the campaign seeks to mitigate the impact of the rising cost of living.

Healthy Food for Infants and Children: The primary focus is on delivering nutritious food to infants and children within the Saskatoon community, ensuring they receive essential nutrients for their growth and development.

Spreading Awareness: The summer months are especially difficult after school is complete and with lunch programs gone, healthy food is hard to come by.

PARTNERSHIPS

Canpotex Commitment: Throughout the month of July, Canpotex has committed to match every dollar donated, up to $50,000. This generous matching initiative is designed to amplify the impact of individual contributions, encouraging the community to donate and make a tangible difference.

Partnership with Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre: The Canpotex Food for Kids matching campaigns will significantly bolster the efforts of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre. The enhanced funding will help the organization meet the rising demand for essential food items, including fresh fruit, infant formula, and baby food.

Centre Mall: Centre Mall has been a great suppoter of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, and this year they have stepped up again. You will find our campaign posters and banners, along with QR codes to donate and links to learn more in the mall itself, thank you Centre Mall.
