Living with diabetes does not mean giving up the foods you enjoy. Making informed food choices and developing healthy eating habits can help you manage blood sugar levels, improve your overall health, and reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Join students from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine for an engaging and practical workshop that explores how nutrition can play a key role in managing diabetes and supporting long-term wellness. These workshops are being offered through the Community Learning Experience program and are open to both WEP participants and community members. [RE: Worksh...on Nov 12 | Outlook]

In this workshop, you'll learn:

✅ What diabetes is and how it affects the body
✅ How food impacts blood sugar levels
✅ Tips for planning balanced meals and healthy snacks
✅ Understanding carbohydrates and portion sizes
✅ Reading nutrition labels with confidence
✅ How to make healthier food choices on a budget
✅ Simple strategies to support long-term health and wellness

Whether you have diabetes, are at risk of developing diabetes, care for someone with diabetes, or simply want to learn more about healthy eating, this workshop will provide practical information you can use every day.
