Service Best is a customer service-based training program, to be completed over the course of a one-day workshop. Having Service Best stands out to employers in customer-led industries as an indication that employees are skilled in customer service and creating positive experiences for clients. This workshop is led by our Work Experience Program facilitator and certified Service Best instructor, Ethan Lipton. Please note, that this course will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until at least 4:00 p.m. It may potentially extend beyond 4:00 p.m.

What to expect: This workshop is all about email. You will learn about:
how to log in to an account, look at your inbox layout, and keep it organized;
composing, sending, and receiving emails, as well as sending and receiving messages with attachments;
how to recognize scam and phishing emails.
You will be working in Gmail and there will be an opportunity to sign up for your own account if you haven’t already.

What to expect: This workshop will teach you to participate in today’s digital world safely and securely. You will learn about:
the benefits of the internet as well as the potential dangers and how to avoid them;
the importance of strong passwords and using multi-factor authentication;
risks such as scams, phishing, and viruses;
and identifying whether a website is secure or not.
Learners will become more confident in ways to protect themselves and their personal information.
